The Health Department will ensure that all staff have completed the assigned COVID-19 Target Solutions training provided by the Department of Human Resources. Face coverings have been /will be provided to staff and PPE to both field and medical staff. Health Department policy will be updated to require that all use of shared space (breakrooms, bathrooms, hallways, walkways) will require all staff to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Health Department policy will be updated to require that all employees that huddle in an enclosed space (supervisor's / co-worker's office or cubicle) will be required to wear a face covering or avoid such huddles all together wherever possible. Break rooms, hall ways, walk ways, time clock areas will be marked with social distance markers and signs to indicate the 6 foot social distancing space requirements.
- Clinic, Home Care and Environmental Health space will be posted with social distancing posters obtained from the CDC, NYS DOH and Catt County websites.

There are 5 Home Care nurses that are assigned to the Machias Stone House Health Department office as their home location. These nurses begin and end their day at the Machias office to restock medical supplies, sync their Netsmart Home Care EMR field mode with the live server using the County's internet, check email and to complete / submit paperwork. This homecare nurse area will need to be reconfigured using spare cubicle pieces if possible as the current arrangement does not allow for social distancing when more than 1 person is in the home care area.
Yes
The designated delivery area is the Clinic reception desk. The designated pick-up area would be the Pines Machias as they have a scheduled pick up every day.
Additional Comments
The Machias Health Department Clinic (2nd floor) does allow for social distancing between the 2 full time employees as their primary work stations are in separate rooms. However, the Machias Environmental Health Staff (3rd Floor) will need a barrier between their work stations as there is not a 6 foot social distancing ability. The Home Care nurses' cubicles ideally could be reconfigured to allow for better social distancing ability.

Physical Space Modifications

Please provide in detail any physical space modifications that are proposed to achieve social distancing requirements.  These modifications can include, but not limited to rearranging offices, adding physical barriers, etc.

Yes
In the Environmental Health office on the third floor (Rm 309) of the stone house there will need to be a temporary stand alone, movable cubicle wall between the 2 environmental health sanitarians work stations to provide as much separation as possible as 6 feet social distancing is not possible in their office.
- The Home Care nurses' space on the second floor (Rms 211 & 212) will need to be reworked to increase the ability to social distance. The cubicles that are side by side in both Home Care Office spaces need to be moved to be facing each other with a 5 foot cubicle wall between the desks. This would allow the Home Care nurses to be least 6 feet apart instead of right next to each other and would create a solid barrier between them as well.
- 3 No touch hand sanitizer dispensers. One to be located on the 3rd floor in or near the Environmental Health office, One to be located in the clinic (2nd floor, rear) in the hallway near the bathrooms or the Home Care offices and one to be located in or near the clinic reception area (2nd floor, front).
