We will ensure that all employees complete the COVID-19 trainings provided by Target Solutions.
All employees have been provided with face masks to wear whenever they are within 6 feet of other personnel or the public.
While occupying tightly confined spaces, i.e. fingerprinting, personnel and the client will be wearing a mask.Otherwise tightly confined places will only be occupied by one person at a time.
We will place social distancing signs on the doors of the Sheriff's Office, we will not allow more than one client on the premises at a time in the different areas of the Sheriff's Office, i.e. Fingerprints/photos area, deputies room, Detective interview rooms
All work stations at this time will have enough distance between them, or will only be occupied by one employee at a time. Should the need arise for more than one deputy to be in the deputies room, they will wear face coverings.
Social distancing will be encouraged by allowing some positions to work from home. Deputies with vehicles will work in them and stay away from the office unless it is absolutely necessary that they come in to take care of business.

Personnel that are at high risk for severe illness will continue to work from home at this time. They will follow the criteria for all employees when they return. They will wear masks when they are within 6 feet of other people and they will not be working in confined spaces with other people.
We will hold interviews in well-ventilated areas as often as possible. We will also be gathering information through the plexi-glass in the patrol vehicles. Meetings will be held via phone or video conference, or in well ventilated locations where the attendees can spread out for the proper social distancing i.e. using our classroom in the LV School.

Senior Accountant, Training Coordinator, Records Clerk, Administrative Lieutenant, Detectives, Senior Dispatcher
Yes
Pistol Permit, Sheriff's ID and Civil customers will enter the Administrative door and remain in the locked area which already has the protective glass. When they need to have a photo or fingerprints, they will be escorted into the room where the livescan machine is already located, and the cameras where just moved into. When they finish the prints and photos, they will leave through the Administrative exit. Dry Cleaning and deliveries will enter the Administrative door and take the items they are delivering and retrieving to their required locations. This will limit the areas that these members of the public enter in the Sheriff's Office.
Additional Comments
As listed above, the administrative, deputies and detectives will follow the guidelines mentioned in the previous details. The attached directive instructs correction officers in the jail. Again, all employees will attempt to stay 6 ft away from other employees and the general public whenever possible. Due to the nature of the job, this will not always be possible when dealing with suspects. Deputies will wear the appropriate mask for the situation and resolve situations as they occur. There will not be mass gatherings in common areas. The lunch areas, conference rooms and hallways will not have groups gather in them like in the past. Those who are able to will work from home or out of their vehicles in the field on a regular basis. Personnel will communicate with supervisors to limit the number of employees that come to the office at a time to ensure that they are staggering their time in the office. When we decide to permit visitation in the jail again, we will develop a plan for that which is safe for staff, inmates and visitors.
Physical Space Modifications

Please provide in detail any physical space modifications that are proposed to achieve social distancing requirements.  These modifications can include, but not limited to rearranging offices, adding physical barriers, etc.

Yes
The only area that will need modifications is the civil cubicle area. All of the other areas have more than 6 feet distance from other personnel, or are full sized cubicles to prevent the spread of germs. We will need to install plexi-glass walls on top of the existing cubicles between the 5 desks in the civil office area.. Maintenance did observe the area and agreed that these updates were the best solution. I confirmed that the Clerk's Office is requesting the same kind of barriers. We do not need these barriers to be installed until we are able to work at 100%. The cost has not been determined at this time.
